Care

Exercise and rehab

Guided movement your doctor picks to go with your visits, taught one step at a time by our rehab assistant.

A patient does a seated leg exercise on a rehab bench while a coach stands beside them.

What a visit includes, and what it does not

  • What a visit includes

A few simple movements shown in the office and a short list to do at home. Your doctor changes them as you go.

  • How long and how often

Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and reviews it with you as you go. We do not promise a number of visits.

  • What we do not claim

We do not say exercise will restore you to how you were or by when.

  • When to see a physician first

Stop and call us if a movement causes sharp pain. See a physician first for new weakness or numbness, or chest pain.

  • PIP and auto medical coverage for visits they cover, many health plans, or you. You get the cost in writing first.

Questions about this care

Do I need equipment at home?

Usually not. Your doctor picks movements that need none, and tells you if one does.

How long does it take each day?

Your doctor decides with you. We keep the list short.

Ask us when you are ready

Call the front desk or send a note. We answer the way you ask.

  • A sudden severe headache or neck pain, dizziness, trouble speaking or seeing, new weakness or numbness, numbness in the groin or saddle area (between the legs and buttocks), or new bladder or bowel trouble needs emergency care now. Call 911 or go to an emergency room.
