How fees work

Six answers, in the order people ask them.

  • Insurance we work with

We bill the PIP and auto medical coverage on a policy for visits it covers, and many health plans. What a plan pays for chiropractic care differs, and the plan decides.

    How PIP bills work
  • If you pay yourself

If you do not use insurance, your doctor tells you what each part of your visit costs before it happens, and you pay at the visit. The front desk can give you our fee list.

  • Receipts for reimbursement

We give you an itemized receipt for each visit. If your plan reimburses you, send it in with your claim form, and ask us if the plan wants a different form.

  • An estimate in advance

If you do not use insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us. We give a written estimate in advance to anyone paying without insurance.

  • Checking your benefits

Before your first visit, we check what your auto or health plan says it covers and tell you what we found. A plan's answer is an estimate, not a promise to pay.

  • What the first visit includes

A first visit takes about 45 minutes: a talk, an exam and your doctor's plan. X-rays only when medically necessary. You leave with the cost in writing.
